In addition to the Choral Society, the Music Center sponsors the Philharmonia of Greensboro, the Greensboro Concert Band, the Greensboro Big Band, the Greensboro Youth Chorus, the OPUS Concert Series, the "Music for a Sunday Evening in the Park" Series, instructional programs, and other small performing ensembles.

The Choral Society's principal financial support comes from the City of Greensboro through the Parks and Recreation Department. These funds finance costs such as administrative salaries, rent for rehearsal and performance halls, music, and guest artists' fees. Occasionally, some expenses, such as hired orchestra personnel, guest artists' travel expenses, some promotional material and supplies, may not be covered by city funding and must be paid by the Choral Society. Such funding is accomplished through contributions and fund-raising activities.
